OUR COMMUNITY
Although we help clients buy and sell in other counties too, our
focus is on Howard County, and specifically the "older" and more
"reasonably priced" neighborhoods within the county, including Long
Reach, Owen Brown, Oakland Mills, Kings Contrivance and Wilde Lake.
We live in Columbia, in an "out-parcel" near Thunder Hill not
subject to C/A fees, and we are also quite expert in non-CA, non-HOA
areas within the county as well.
Howard County, and specifically Columbia/Ellicott City, are the
ultimate in "planned communities" and were ranked #4 on Money
magazine's top 100 places to live in 2006. Howard County has
101,136 housing units with a population of 269,457. The
population is diverse: 67.1% White, 16.1% Black, 10.9% Asian, 4%
Hispanic, and 2.1% reporting two or more races. (US Census
figures -- 2005).

"They're fun and trustworthy.
We've bought and sold Long Reach homes with John & Angela.
Last time they helped us sell for $20,000 more than our neighbor with the exact same
home! John's got a whacked sense of humor, but Angela is sweet, and you can trust them
both to put your interests first."

What Did My Neighbor's
House Sell For?
Thinking of selling? Or, just a "nosey neighbor"? Either is fine. Just CLICK HERE to get sale info on any area
property.
The Columbia Association
The Columbia Association ("CA") is the largest home owners
association in the state. With a budget of $63 million CA maintains
23 outdoor swimming pools, 3,400 acres of open space, 168 tot lots and
ninety three miles of walking pathways (!), as well as hosting a
variety of programs for all ages. Your can find CA at
http://www.ColumbiaAssociation.com
Ellicott City
Ellicott City is the county seat and celebrated its bicentennial in 1974,
two years before the U.S. government. Ellicott City encompasses both
an historic shopping area on XXXX and YYYY, as well as residential
neighborhoods with most homes dating from the 1950's to new construction
today. There is no "official" website for Ellicott City, but one
interesting one is
http://www.ellicottcity.net/.
Schools
A major strength of Howard County is our renowned public school system.
Year after year standardized test scores rank among the best in the state.
You can find school district maps, test scores, a "house locator" (put in
an address and find the elementary, middle and high schools) and tons of
valuable information at
http://www.hcpss.org/.
Neighborhood Associations
Within the Columbia Association are ten neighborhood associations, each
listed below with its own link.
